This lot comes from fifty of the growers who deliver to Yaye, Testi Specialty Coffee’s washing station in Arbegona, in Ethiopia’s Sidama region. Most farm organically on less than a hectare, growing coffee alongside corn and false banana under native shade trees, and Testi selects the ones whose cherry is consistently the best. This coffee is dried whole in the fruit on raised beds and turned by hand several times a day for a month, a method Ethiopian farmers have refined over generations. Growers are paid a premium on delivery and again once the coffee sells.

Whole beans or pre-ground?
Coffee deteriorates much faster once it is ground, making whole beans the ideal way to purchase coffee. If you don't have a grinder though, all good!
